LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS.


The national chapter of The League of Women Voters wanted to transition away from an outdated logo design while mitigating any negative impacts to their brand equity earned over their 100 year history.

I worked closely with the internal communications team to understand their needs, history, limitations and budget. Of primary concern in their redesign process was the need for a logo that would (1) standalone as is, (2) be adaptable for several sub-logos within the organizations national chapter and (3) easily customizable for the 700+ regional chapters across the United States.

Consulting with their print and web partners I established and enhanced the LWV visual brand, testing and defining color standards for consistent print, web and social reproduction. To maintain the integrity of our work and to reinforce consistency prior to rollout, I updated the brand standard guidelines and led training sessions to the internal team.

The League of Women Voters is a historic American civic organization founded in 1920 to help women take a larger role in public affairs after they won the right to vote. They continue to this day as a nonpartisan, grassroots organization working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure everyone is represented in our democracy, and I’m proud to have partnered with them for this historic redesign.
